1. Acceptance and accounts

By accessing or continuing to use BuildAmend, you agree to these terms. You must be of legal age and, when acting for a business, have authority to bind it. Provide accurate account information, keep your credentials confidential, and take responsibility for activity under your account.

2. The service and your decisions

BuildAmend provides contractor tools for estimates, labor pricing, scope review, change orders, and customer approvals. You control the scope, quantities, rates, final price, and records you send. AI suggestions are editable and are not automatically sent to customers.

AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for verifying quantities, labor, prices, applicable codes, site conditions, and outputs before relying on them. Outputs are not a substitute for licensed or regulated professional advice, inspections, engineering, or contractor oversight.

3. Acceptable use

Do not use the service for unlawful activity, fraud, spam, harassment, hate speech, deceptive deepfakes, illegal content, malware, or infringement of intellectual property or privacy rights. Do not probe or interfere with security, scrape without permission, bypass usage limits, jailbreak AI safeguards, reverse-engineer the service where prohibited by law, or resell access without permission.

You are responsible for your prompts, input content, and use of outputs. Only upload information and images you have the right to use and share. We may remove or restrict content, refuse or filter outputs, and suspend accounts to address misuse, security risks, or infringement.

4. Intellectual property and user content

Jeremy Jakubowski retains ownership of BuildAmend's software, documentation, branding, and other service intellectual property. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within your plan.

You retain your rights in your input content and grant us permission to host, process, and transmit it solely as needed to provide and support the service. As between you and us, we do not claim ownership of your generated outputs; this does not guarantee copyright protection, exclusivity, or freedom from third-party rights.

Rights holders may report alleged infringement to jeremy@buildamend.com, identifying the content, the rights involved, and contact details. We may remove disputed content and suspend or terminate repeat infringers.

5. Subscription, billing, and refunds

BuildAmend's launch subscription is $20 USD per month and includes 10 successfully generated new AI estimates per billing cycle, plus unlimited manual estimates and change orders, customer approval links, and saved records. Free accounts can complete onboarding and explore the interface but must subscribe before creating, editing, or sending estimates or change orders or generating AI estimates. See our Plans page. Subscriptions renew monthly unless canceled; applicable taxes are shown at checkout. Cancellation stops future renewal; paid features continue through the paid-through date. After access ends, your existing records remain viewable and printable, approval links you already sent keep working so customers can still respond, and no records are deleted; creating, editing, sending, and AI generation require an active subscription.

The monthly AI allowance resets to 10 each billing cycle; unused monthly estimates do not roll over. Failed generation attempts, manual edits, saving, reopening, and conversion to change orders do not consume the allowance. While subscribed, manual estimates and change orders remain unlimited when the AI allowance runs out.

Extra AI estimate packs are not available yet. Pack quantities, prices, and usage terms will be disclosed before packs launch. There are no automatic top-ups.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms and our Refund Policy. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

6. Availability and access restrictions

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. We may maintain or update the service. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. Contact us about account access or retrieving your records; legal and security restrictions may apply.

7. Updates and contact
